چکیده

This paper presents a novel method for atmospheric transmittance-temperature-emissivity separation (AT2ES) using online midwave infrared hyperspectral images. Conventionally, temperature and emissivity (TES) is well-known problem in the remote sensing domain. However, previous approaches use correction process before TES MODTRAN long wave band. Simultaneous starts with approximation of radiative transfer equation upper The highest band used to estimate surface temperature, assuming high emissive materials. lowest (CO2 absorption band) air temperature. Through onsite data regression, transmittance obtained from y-intercept, separated observed radiance, object transmittance. advantage proposed being first attempt at simultaneous AT2ES without any prior knowledge pre-processing. Midwave Fourier transform (FTIR)-based outdoor experimental results validate feasibility method.

Land Surface Temperature and Emissivity Retrieval from Field-Measured Hyperspectral Thermal Infrared Data Using Wavelet Transform

Currently, the main difficulty in separating the land surface temperature (LST) and land surface emissivity (LSE) from field-measured hyperspectral Thermal Infrared (TIR) data lies in solving the radiative transfer equation (RTE). Based on the theory of wavelet transform (WT), this paper proposes a method for accurately and effectively separating LSTs and LSEs from field-measured hyperspectral ...

A Multi-Channel Method for Retrieving Surface Temperature for High-Emissivity Surfaces from Hyperspectral Thermal Infrared Images

The surface temperature (ST) of high-emissivity surfaces is an important parameter in climate systems. The empirical methods for retrieving ST for high-emissivity surfaces from hyperspectral thermal infrared (HypTIR) images require spectrally continuous channel data. This paper aims to develop a multi-channel method for retrieving ST for high-emissivity surfaces from space-borne HypTIR data. Wi...

Surface Emissivity Impact on Temperature and Moisture Soundings from Hyperspectral Infrared Radiance Measurements

An accurate land surface emissivity (LSE) is critical for the retrieval of atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles along with land surface temperature from hyperspectral infrared (IR) sounder radiances; it is also critical to assimilating IR radiances in numerical weather prediction models over land. To investigate the impact of different LSE datasets on Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS...

Temperature / Emissivity Separation Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document

The ASTER scanner on NASA's Terra (EOS-AM1) satellite will collect five channels of TIR data with an NE∆T of ≤0.3K to estimate surface kinetic temperatures and emissivity spectra, especially over land, where emissivities are not known in advance. Temperature/emissivity separation (TES) is difficult because there are five measurements but six unknowns. Various approaches have been used to constr...

Errors analysis on temperature and emissivity determination from hyperspectral thermal infrared data.

Sensitivity analysis of temperature-emissivity separation method commonly applied to hyperspectral data to various sources of errors is performed in this paper. In terms of resulting errors in the process of retrieving surface temperature, results show that: (1) Satisfactory results can be obtained for heterogeneous land surfaces and retrieval error of surface temperature is small enough to be ...
